RESITRIX® projects wins SPRA Award
The delighted teams at CARLISLE® CM Europe and Topek Ltd. are celebrating after another industry award win, this time at the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA) Awards.
They won the Best New Construction Award as well as Highly Commended in the Health and Safety category for their work on the Macallan distillery expansion project in Scotland.
This one-of-a-kind project required several tailor-made solutions including a bespoke roof design created by CARLISLE® CM Europe’s technical team. To ensure the highest quality watertight roof, RESITRIX® SKW Full Bond, ALUTRIX® 600 and RESIFLEX® products were specified from CARLISLE® CM Europe’s product range. RESITRIX® SKW is a full-surface, self-adhesive and root-resistant EPDM waterproofing membrane. The vapour barrier membrane ALUTRIX® 600 is puncture resistant and has the added advantage that it can be walked on straight after installation. RESIFLEX® expansion joint tape was used for professional cross and joint sealing.
The CARLISLE® Academy provided specialist product training to Topek’s experienced installation crew, enabling the installers to further their skills and expertise.
“The awards are testament to the hard work, enthusiasm and dedication of the staff at CARLISLE® CM Europe and Topek Ltd. They also show the value of collaboration by several teams who brought their finest skills together to work on the Macallan distillery project. We are proud of our market-leading waterproofing products as well as being able to offer complete training solutions” remarked John Whittaker, CARLISLE® CM Europe’s Technical Manager after accepting the award.
The third SPRA Annual Awards attracted almost three times as many entries as 2016, and the standards were high. More details about the SPRA and its work as the home of roofing excellence can be found here: http://www.spra.co.uk/
