Building waterproofing with RESITRIX® EPDM waterproofing membranes

Reliable building waterproofing and component waterproofing

All component waterproofing solutions in line with the following new series of standards can be designed with the various RESITRIX® waterproofing membranes:

– DIN 18195 (new) Waterproofing of buildings – terms
– DIN 18532 Waterproofing of areas trafficable by vehicles
– DIN 18533 Waterproofing of elements in contact with soil
– DIN 18534 Waterproofing for indoor applications
– DIN 18535 Waterproofing of tanks and pools

Exceptions include the waterproofing of bridges and waterproofing in and under walls with lateral pressure loading. According to current rules and regulations, self-adhesive waterproofing membranes are generally unsuitable for waterproofing cross-sections with lateral pressure loading. Above ground – for example in buildings without a cellar – they can be used to waterproof cross-sections without any restrictions.

Particularly when waterproofing concrete areas trafficable by vehicles and when waterproofing components in contact with the ground and exposed to pressurised water, we recommend using the fully self-adhesive RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond waterproofing membrane. Separate evidence of infiltration protection for the membrane’s substrate connection which can be specified by the designers in individual cases is available. In addition to all the regulations set down in the series of standards described above, RESITRIX® SK W Full Bond can be used as external waterproofing for construction joints / controlled crack joints within components made from water-impermeable concrete and for transitions from RESITRIX® surface waterproofing solutions to water-impermeable concrete components.
